Jeremy Strong is a children’s book author. He was born in 1949 and this year he is sixty-eight years old. He lives in London. He wrote over one hundred books. His books are very funny and fun to read. One of Jeremy Strong’s books is called, There’s a Viking in my Bed and it became a BBC kids show. He won a children’s book award.

Jeremy Strong had two other jobs and one of them was putting jam inside two thousand sugar doughnuts a day. He was also a teacher. Three other books he wrote are Killer Tomatoes, Viking at School and There’s a Pharaoh in our Bath.

Roald Dahl was born in Wales in the year 1916 and had Norwegian parents. He had five children and their names were Olivia, Ophelia, Lucy, Tessa and Theo Dahl. Roald Dahl served in the Royal Air Force in the Second World War. Although his main job was not as an author, he wrote many books. Some of his books are George’s Marvellous Medicine, The BFG and Fantastic Mr Fox.

Before he used to start writing, Roald Dahl used to sharpen 6 pencils. He used yellow pencils with a red eraser on top. When all of the pencils became blunt, he would stop writing that particular book that he was writing. In 1988, he won the Federation of Children’s Book Groups award for one of his bestselling books, Matilda. Roald Dahl died on the 23rd of November, 1990 at the age of 74.
